BetaBagels 012: a morning Gov Tech Policy Conversation

December 19, 2025 @ 9:00 AM 10:00 AM EST

About the Event

BetaBagels is back for a breakfast-time conversation about the future of New York City’s government technology policy. ☕🥯

On Friday, December 19, join BetaNYC for #BetaBagels 012: a virtual Gov Tech policy conversation with leaders from NYC Democratic Socialists of America Tech Action Working Group, Public Sector Job Board, Tech Mayor Project, and Tech:NYC. The conversation will explore hot topics and opinions on what the incoming NYC mayoral administration should consider about digital service delivery, data governance, AI, cybersecurity, and the public-sector tech workforce.

Speakers will share why they wrote their recent policy recommendations, walk through their top ideas for the incoming administration, and reflect on their hopes for NYC’s civic and gov tech ecosystem in 2026 and beyond. We’ll close with audience questions submitted via Zoom chat.

Bring your coffee, your curiosity, and your questions for City Hall regarding the tech policy.

Many thank yous to the NYC Public Interest Tech Pop-up organized by CUNY PIT Lab for hosting the conversation.
