BetaNYC Hack Night 2022.01 – Happy New Year!!

- learn about open source civic tech projects,
- get inspired to start a new project,
- get feedback from your neighbors, or
- learn about tools, data sets, or design practices for local empowerment, open data, and open government.
- Thursday, 27 January 2022, 6pm – 7:30/8pm
- Virtual via Zoom. We’ll start all together for a brief presentation and introduction. Then, we’ll have our presenters present their projects. Depending on number of participants and number of questions, we might break up in breakout rooms for 20 – 30 mins.

- Testingsites.nyc and testinglines.nyc — alternative interfaces to NYC’s covid-19 testing finder and wait times websites presented by Ellie Frymire and Chris Barna.
- WeGovNYC — this databook project normalizes NYC Open Data and lets people build tools off of that normalized presented by Devin Balkind.
- Blockparty.studio — a tool working to make Community Board meetings more accessible would be presented by Sarah Sachs.
