CityCamp NYC is a community conference with a focus on democracy, civil society, neighbors, government operations, and the intersection between them all. CityCamp NYC brings together New Yorkers from all backgrounds to share ideas, ask questions, and work through real-world challenges—together.

What is CityCamp?
A CityCamp is an unstructured conference where the agenda is created by the attendees on the day of the event. Using “Open Space Technology,” we foster purpose-driven discussions around civic tech, digital tools, transparency, and equipping our communities.
Our “unconference” convenes city officials, technologists, community organizations, startups, academia, and beyond, as we re-imagine how collaboration and technology can help shape, grow, and sustain a healthy future for New York City.
At CityCamp NYC, you are not an attendee, you are a participant. As an Unconference, CityCamp focuses on collaboration and innovation for individuals, community organizations, and local government. The agenda is designed and organized by participants and guided by designated facilitators from BetaNYC. Participants will play active roles in sessions, creating an engaging format for creative, open exchange geared toward action.
