NYC Open Data Training for Council

May 17, 2022 @ 2:00 PM 3:15 PM EDT

Graphic with text for NYC Open Data Training and Office Hours with Council for 2022.

Since the Local Law 11 passed in 2021, the City has published over 3,000 municipal datasets on the NYC Open Data Portal. These data are critical tools for decision-making, transparency and accountability. As part of our mission to drive digital literacy and inclusion across the boroughs, we want to be sure that you know how to access and use NYC Open Data too.

Please join BetaNYC for a virtual training sponsored by Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, Council Member Gale Brewer, Council Member Jennifer Gutiérrez and the Council Committee on Technology. You will learn fundamental terms and processes for navigating NYC Open Data as well as useful tools and applications that harness it. NYC open data is a tremendous resource and we look forward to seeing how you use it in your daily decision-making!
