Since Local Law 11 passed in 2021, the City has published over 3,000 municipal datasets on the NYC Open Data Portal. These data are critical tools for decision-making, transparency and accountability. As part of our mission to drive digital literacy and inclusion across the boroughs, BetaNYC teaches community members and NYC decision-makers how to access and use NYC Open Data. In this class with the Office of the NYC Comptroller, you will learn fundamental terms and processes for navigating NYC Open Data as well as useful tools and applications that harness it. NYC open data is a tremendous resource and we look forward to seeing how you use it in your office!
