Urban Tech Summit 2026
November 10 @ 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

BetaNYC’s Executive Director Noel Hidalgo joins a panel at the sixth Urban Tech Summit, “The Generative City,” hosted by Cornell Tech’s Urban Tech Hub and the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute. Noel will share what BetaNYC has learned from building tools that open up the city budget, and talk about who should control the AI that cities use and how New Yorkers can hold it accountable.
The session, as described by the summit organizers:
The Agentic City: New Partnerships for Operations. Behind every well-running city is a complex orchestration of government agencies, private contractors, urban data, and aging public assets. As AI agents revolutionize enterprise management and expand our capacity to plan ahead, what are the opportunities for restructuring and improving government operations? This session explores how cities are partnering with technology companies, peer governments, and research institutions to leverage the power of AI while keeping accountability and human judgment firmly in the loop.
The summit organizers will announce the other panelists and the session time.
The full summit runs Tuesday, November 10, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Verizon Executive Education Center at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island. See the Urban Tech Summit 2026 program. Tickets are sold on Eventbrite by the summit organizers.
