BetaNYC is excited to share a new way to map NYC’s public realm in New York City Council District 11! At this in-person event, we will present the Mapping for Equity project and how to create more equitable and accessible mapped spaces through field-mapping. Plus, we will show you how we’re mapping parks and public spaces into OpenStreetMap.

This virtual class empowers you and community members to access and use NY Open Data. BetaNYC will introduce you to easy-to-use tools that you can use to navigate and query public datasets like NYC 311 service requests, health, safety and quality of life concerns. This class will be hosted by BetaNYC and New York City Council District 6!

Join BetaNYC for part two of its Mapping for Equity series! This in-person event teaches the public how to enter data into OpenStreetMap. This morning class, from 10am-12pm, is the first of two workshop offerings on June 30 at the Manhattan Borough President’s Office.
