Sourabh Chakraborty is a civic technologist and local government enthusiast who is passionate about using technology to meet people’s needs at scale while paying close attention to human details.
Sourabh works as a technical product manager at the NYC Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity, where he helps build websites and digital tools to make it easier for New Yorkers to access government benefits and services. He also volunteers for Block Party, helping make information about community boards more accessible and byte-sized, and has previously volunteered as a document drafter for the Asylum Support Clinic and taken Maximum New York’s class on the Foundations of New York City government.
Sourabh is a graduate of Cornell University, where he studied computer science and an independent major in social interaction and political belief. If he’s not at home or at work in Brooklyn, he is probably taking a walk somewhere close by, admiring the scenery.
