Board Member
Zanna is a Tufts University alumna with degrees in Science, Technology, and Society and Film/Media Studies. She draws from her background as a multidisciplinary artist to bring humanity to the field of emergent technology. Her career pursuits in data ethics, as well as her emergence as a documentarian, are greatly informed by her insistence on knowing the narrative behind the number.
She has conducted original research on AI governance and urban technology policy as a Policy and Civic Innovation Fellow at the Institute for Youth in Policy and has engaged in interdisciplinary inquiry around the ethical dimensions of AI as an Intelligence, Data, Ethics, and Society Fellow at the Northeastern Ethics Institute in collaboration with Harvard University.
In her downtime, Zanna enjoys writing poetry, being with loved ones, and imagining community events in her hometown of NYC that promote unity and authentic self-expression. This year, she plans to launch a Substack on topics in technology, culture, and the politics of digital systems. She will begin her Master of Social Work at Hunter College in Fall 2026.
